Video creation for the type rating

A few years ago, video creation from the desktop was not as easy as it is today, or there were various tools for FS2004 or FSX to record compressed recordings directly in the flight simulator, send them by e-mail and then play them back. Direct desktop recordings already had an enormous size back then and of course could not be sent by e-mail. Uploading was also not an alternative in the age of modems, ISDN and the like. But these things are now almost irrelevant. The following methods have therefore become established: ♢ You definitely need online storage, this can be YouTube, OwnCloud, WeTransfer, Dropbox, etc. to make the recorded video available. ♢ For desktop recording, you can use the free software OBS Studio, for example, or if you have an nvidia geforce, you can use ShadowPlay, for example. ♢ As soon as your recording is finished and you can see all the important details (mainly the cockpit with instruments and not the view!), you can upload the video to your online platform and provide the link for viewing or downloading. Once the type rating has been reviewed, you can of course delete the video.
