Installation FS Recorder im P3D

Foreword: Because the video recording of Lockheed Martin's Prepar3D® is not compatible with that of Microsoft and a Screencapture is much too complicated, as well as the file size is much too large, we have to fall back on a uniform format. Furthermore, the advantage is that the displays and data of the add-on aircraft are better reproduced. The FS Recorder file is also extremely small and no longer requires compression. But now to the instructions:

The first step is that we go to the FS Recorder download page.
Under FSX we download the Version 1.331 (2.1 does not work!)
Or alternatively directly from our server:
The downloaded zip file contains the following files: Manual.pdf, Readme.txt, RecorderFSX.dll, Setup.msi Of these four files we only need the RecorderFSX.dll file, which we copy into the Modules folder in the main directory of Prepar3D:

Next, the dll.xml file of P3D in the following folder must be modified:
C:\Users\"User name"\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3 or V2
The quickest way to do this is to press the Windows key and the 'R' key at the same time (opens Run) then type %appdata% and click Ok.
Now search the folders Lockheed Martin -> Prepar3D v3 or V2.
There is now an XML file with the name dll. To edit it, it can be opened with the editor.
Once it is open, we scroll down to the very bottom.
Still before </SimBase.Document> this entry is inserted:

  <Name>FS Recorder Module</Name>

It should look like this:

Now "Save" the file and close it.
In the next step you should start the simulator "AS ADMINISTRATOR". In the course of this, a message appears:

Simply confirm this message with Ok.
Important: If this message does not appear, go through everything again to see if it really looks the same as in the pictures! Once installed correctly, the message will not appear again! Now you should find FSRecorder in the simulator under Add-ons:

If so, congratulations, it wasn't that hard, was it?
